We can supply antibiotics to treat simple Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs), sometimes called cystitis. We do need to do a consultation. While we'd prefer to see you in person we can do the consultation by phone if needed.
There are some exclusions in particular
- Not being anatomcally female (so pre-op trans women need to see their GP)
-Being diabetic
-Being allergic to nitrofurantoin
-Have had a UTI in the last 2 weeks, or 2 or more UTS's in the last 6 months.
-Been in hospital as a patient in the last weeks.
