5 Panel Urine Test - Negative
5 Panel Urine Test - Positive - No T Line

These drug tests are simple to use.  Ideal for home drug tests.

Collect a urine sample in a small plastic or glass container.

Dip the test into the urine for a few minutes.

Read the test a few minutes later.

Our tests can detect

  • Methamphetamine, also known as P or Meth,
  • THC which is the  active in Cannabis,
  • Opiates such as Morphine, Oxycodone, and Heroin
  • Cocaine
  • Amphetamines

Our tests are a reliable first step if you think someone you care about is using. Or you are unsure if your big weekend might give you big problems at work.

While not a standard diagnostic test they will give you a good idea of what is going on.

How long can the tests detect drugs for?

Depending on which drug you are looking for the tests can detect use up to 36 hours later.  Urine (piss) tests can detect drugs for longer after they have been used.  Most urine tests can detect use of weed upto 4 weeks later, P - 4 or 5 days after using, Heroin and other morphine related drugs 4 -5 days later, and cocaine 3 - 5 days later.

Do Drug Tests Tell if You are Stoned?

No.  A positive drug test only shows that you or the person being tested has used drugs within the test time.  They do not give any idea about how stoned a person is or if they can do a job without problems.

What About Medicines From a Doctor or Pharmacist?

Some prescription medicines will 'cross react' and show positive tests if the personn has taken some prescription or Over The Counter (OTC) medications.  The most common problem from cross reaction is with OTC Codeine medcines (like Panadiene) or prescriptions for moderate to strong pain killers (Tramadol, Codiene, Morphine).

How Common is Drug Use in NZ?

Figuring out how many people actually use recreational (illicit or illegal) drugs is always tricky.  When you ask people a question like "Have you ever used drugs?" for a survey people are not always going to give an honest answer.  For several reasons.

Despite that there are a number of survey's that have been done over a long period of time that can give a reasonable picture of what is going on.

Marijuana, weed, grass, whatever you want to call it is the most commonly used recreational drug in NZ.  It's cheap, grows well in NZ and is generally considered pretty low risk by users.  According to a survey from 2013 about 11% of  people used marijuana in the previous year.  Of those 11% about 1/3 said they had used it in the  last week (so around 3.5% of people used marijuana in the last week 1/3 of 11%).  Another way of thinking of this is that for every 1,000 New Zealanders it's likely that 34 of them used marijuana in the last week.

P, Meth, Methamphetamine, Ice (if you're Australian) is in the headlines alot at the moment, but it's use is relatively low.  According to a 2016 survey about 1.1% of the New Zealand population used P in the previous 12 months ( so about a tenth of those who reported using marijuana).  So for every 1,000 New Zealanders 11 have used P in the last year.  Accoring to The Drug Foundation the rate of P use has remained relatively stable for the past few years.

Marijuana tends to be used by people under 25 years whereas the average P user was 31 years.   Marijuana use is also more evenly spread across income bands
