Indications

Livostin belongs to the class of medications called the antihistamines.

Livostin eye drops are used to relieve irritation, redness, and itching of the eye associated with allergies. It works by blocking the actions of a chemical called histamine.

This medication will start to work to relieve allergy symptoms within
10 to 15 minutes of being used.

Contraindications

Do not use Livostin if you have an allergy to:
* any medicine containing levocabastine.
* any of the ingredients listed at the end of this information.
*any other similar medicines.


Some of the symptoms of an allergic reaction to this medicine may
include shortness of breath, wheezing or difficulty breathing;
swelling of the face, lips, tongue or other parts of the body;
rash, itching or hives on the skin.


Do not take this medicine after the expiry date printed on the pack
or if the packaging is torn or shows signs of tampering. If it has
expired or is damaged, return it to your pharmacist for disposal.

If you are not sure whether you should start taking this medicine,
talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

Precautions

Avoid using Livostin Eye drops if you have a known allergy to any of the ingredients of Livostin eye drops. Avoid wearing contact lens while using Livostin eye drops.

Adverse
Effects

All medicines have the potential to cause side effects.

If you experience symptoms you think are from using Livostin Eye
drops contact your Pharmacist or Doctor.

The most common side effect experienced with Livostin Eye drops is mild eye irritation described as a burning or stinging sensation.
This usually reduces after a few minutes.
If they continue or become problematic check with your Pharmacist or Doctor.

Less common:
* dry eyes
* dry mouth
* feeling sleepy
* headache

Directions

Shake
the bottle well before using. Squeeze 1 drop into each eye as
needed. Initially use Livostin Eye drops twice daily, if needed
dose may increase to 3 or 4 times a day.
